Performing without Pain

It is not uncommon to occasionally experience muscle tension or discomfort while performing. Unfortunately, many musicians have been taught to "play through" the pain and that we cannot improve without at least some pain. However, if we understand the structure and function of an aligned skeleton, we are far more likely to live a long and healthy performing life.

The purpose of this site is to provide a safe and discreet resource for musicians of all experience levels who are experiencing tension or pain while performing. When we approach the performance process with an understanding of skeletal alignment, it allows the muscles to release and function at an optimal level.
